It has been said that 18 inches is the appropriate size of the human bubble. What if Love was not 18 inches long, the length of a rifle or a gun, the length of hate, the length of war. What if 18 inches was what we defined as the space that separated us from God. What if 18 inches was the truth that we were born to seek. 18 inches away from peace, seems so very far away!!

Ah, the importance of hugs. Maybe God is 18 inches away or less. But we push him away when we separate ourselves from our fellow man or when we don’t show compassion for them. I’d have to say there are a lot of Republicans who must be separated from God by a long distance because they hate government programs that help people, but love the ones that help business. Only problem is that God never said whatever you do to the least of my businesses you do unto me.

I just watched this again and got a lot more out of it this time than last time. I also read my previous comment and thought I sounded a bit opinionated. I know that is a surprise. The question is: Is what I said true?

Do you remember when I said that in order for an ordinary person to make change, they need to stand in the mall and let everyone know what they believe. This was a tradition I believe in England where someone would stand on a soapbox and speak their mind. That’s where the comment “Get off your soapbox” came from.
Don’t think you have to be the one to do it. But if you get so frustrated and feel impotent to make change, this is one way to do it.
This behavior would get attention and news coverage and maybe someone would video tape the speaker like the hugs video.
