Bob Stewart, a fraternity brother of mine, wrote the following after reading A Warrior’s Son http://deweypasquini.com :
I just finished your book tonight and I am speechless. It truly was great, but at times it was hard for me to read.. It made me cry a few times because it was so close to home and I had to put it down to get myself together so I could continue to read. FYI I’ll bet Reader’s Digest would snap this up for their condensed books in a heartbeat.
The story hit me on so many levels. The boy and dad thing. Mine was not a good relationship so I was jealous of Jake in some ways. You may remember that I was in the Air Force for 29 years and totally get the suffering that families go through and the dedication that is so commonplace there among those who serve that it becomes ordinary.
I saw a lot of you in the book.

It made my day. A lady from cardiac rehab read the book and said she loved it, planned to read it again, and told me the librarian wanted to buy two hardback copies.
Yesterday I contacted the Delta Upsilon International Fraternity and asked if they’d put something in the DU Quarterly about my book. they wrote me back today and said yes.
I also contacted Stars and Stripes,
the University of Washington Alumni Association, and my high school to see if they’d say something about the book. Haven’t heard back from them yet.
