I received a hardback and paperback sample of A Warriors Son yesterday. It was an awesome experience to see the book in print after the hundred’s of hours that went into writing and editing it. I think I read the galleys at least six times. You’d think I’d be sick of reading it, but I have to tell you that reading the actual book was like walking into a bookstore, looking at book covers, pulling one out, reading the book jacket, and then randomly opening at various pages to see if it was something I wanted to read. What surprised me was that no matter where I opened the book, there was something interesting on the page.
There are only two corrections that need to be made before final publication. I’m waiting on Xlibris to see if they will make them without a charge. I’d like to have the book summary and author biography on the inside hardcover book jacket. There’s nothing there now. The other was a small formatting error on a quote from one of the students who read the book.
I’m expecting the book to be published early in March. Go to A Warrior’s Son for updates. I will date them so you’ll know when the last update was.
The picture below isn’t very professional, but it will have to do for now. I’m sure Stephen will take more professional pictures.
