What a great list. If you get a chance, listen to General McArthur’s speech, Duty, Honor, Country. I was in college and a good friend who was in Navy ROTC showed it to me and it impressed me at the time. I have never forgotten it. I mention it to you because of that. I just read it and listened to part of it. I remember it differently now, but it’s still an impressive speech. I remember as a little kid watching General McArthur return from Korea and the ticker tape parade honoring him. I asked my mother what all the fuss was about and she said he was a 5 star general. At least I think it was 5. I haven’t seen many. Most are 4. But he’d come home because President Truman had fired him because McArthur wanted to go to war with China over Korea. He was too militant. McArthur did his duty and returned home. He exemplified duty, honor, country. McArthur was also responsible for setting up democracy in Japan and laying the ground work for what they have today. Great man, but one with too big an ego I believe. But he still believed in Duty, Honor, Country.
