30wks, 1day old
16lbs 2oz, 25inches Long (I’m short and light for my age, but Mom’s OK with that, less to carry around)
Milestones: Crawling! Pulling myself up to my feet
Yes, I’m finally doing it, CRAWLING! Don’t stop me now. Yesterday I finally figured out how to move my knees so I moved in a forward motion. I’ve been just going backwards a lot for about 3wks now. I still prefer begging to get mom or dad to do it for me, but when I’m in a good mood and there is something I want, my knees and arms seem to just take me there. I’m slow and don’t take too many steps yet but just give me time. Mom and Dad better plug the plugs and pad the fireplace because there’s no telling how fast I might become. So who ever bet on May 18th for the day I crawled, you just won a siber hug from me. Congratulations!
I’ve also been enjoying biking around town with Mom and Dad in Bobby the Big Burley trailer. I take Jerry the Giraffe with me, a few blankets and I’m happy as a lark. I love the wind in my hair and the street grit between my gums. (Mmmmm). To all those worried about my head, I do have a helmet, but it just doesn’t fit me yet. Mom and Dad go real slow and we only do the bike paths for right now. There are benefits of being small but then there are the draw backs. I dream and pray for my head to grow big.
My new trick right now is getting anything I want. Gone are the days of a slow whimper build up. I find it much more time efficient to just cry really hard right away to get what I want. I’m out of the 2 diapers and on to the 3’s. I’ve also abandoned most of my 3-6mth clothes and mom finally got some 9mth old onesies. They are real cute, but still a lot of pink. Doesn’t the baby clothes market realize red headed babies look best in red clothes. I want to through-up when we go shopping, there is just too much pink out there. Girls like red too. I wish I could go on a pink strike but I would be going around town naked. Pink looks good on me too so I guess I’m going to have to live with it for now.
Till next time, Have a great day. Next bet: Walking. Mom hopes it’s not too soon. I need to slow down and enjoy my childhood.

Congratulations on learning to crawl. I agree, you should take it easy and not be too much in a hurry to walk. Crawling is important to good coordination later. Keep it up.God bless.Grandpa Duke
