Stephen, this is a great posting. It is very insightful, especially the fact that the best things in life are free. They truly are and we don’t appreciate it enough.
I didn’t find the Woody Allen quote depressing at all. He says that the way we deal with things is through creativity, or at least some of us do. He even tells us why people watch a lot of football and baseball and root for their favorite teams. My writing has been therapeutic and whether it gets published or not is unimportant. I’ve gotten my feelings and thoughts on paper as we both do in this blog.
I suppose that we all pray because we want to make life better. And I do believe God answers prayer, maybe not exactly in the way we want. We have to believe though that if we pray the prayer will be answered in a way that will help us in the long run.
This has been a great Christmas and it will be a great New Year. It will still be filled with life with its bumps and bruises as well as its joys and happiness.

It was a great Christmas, wish you didn’t have to leave so soon. Our first posts of the new year. This has been going since 2005, hard to believe weird to think about where this will be in 2020……
