My daughter and" I decided to take a walk together to the lighthouse after I picked her up from pre-school. We watched the big waves, the sunset and a rainbow setting over the harbor. Layla climbed the small Cyprus tree and threw rocks into the puddles, while dogs passing by tickled her nose. We had a great afternoon. When we got in the car and I was reaching back to buckle her up in her car seat she looked at me and said “thank you dad” and I said for what? With the most enduring look I have ever seen she said “for loving”.  This is what we call in Dad life a perfect day!
