A great movie, reminds me how lucky I am to have the life I have, and how our birth, randomized, will give each of us opportunities or disadvantages alike. How tough it is to raise oneself from a crack mom, and a house surrounded by negative role models, and how sad it is that our policy makers cannot identify enough with this, to not only realize how much the silver spoon has fed their egos, but also to show some compassion to those less fortunate. We should reflect on this every day we wake up, in our feather comforters and warm insulated homes!
Duke says
Haven’t seen it, but will make sure I do. We are all products of our environment. This makes ML King’s point that “unearned suffering is redemptive.” Living with a silver spoon in your mouth is not redemptive, but making the world better with that spoon is.
