Oh I remember what it was like to close my eyes and drift into the calm quiet night. I hope our son decides to sleep tonight, 3 hours of sleep just doesn’t cut it. The only good thing is that I was able to catch up on all my favorite TV shows. Oh what is not to love about the Daily Show at 3:30 AM?
My eyes were half closed today, but it was actually a nice day. I patched up some holes in my surf board. We all played outside in the back yard, and I think it was the first time in a very long time we all just stuck around the house not doing work but doing things we liked. I could tell our daughter enjoyed it as well. In the throws of moving and unpacking etc. etc. we have not had days like this in a while. For the first time I feel (well at least for the meantime) settled.
So I am headed to bed to get that crucial 6 hours of sleep as noted in the related article below, because if not I guess as a middle age male I may not live too long. I am sure someday when our kids are all grown up, I will crave to tuck those soft little “jammy” toes into my underarm and hug my babies tight. Because it does feel so good, but it is just so hard to think about this when your ears are ringing and you you just want to close your aching eyes.

Stephen, you’d better get some good sleep. I made the mistake of trying to go with little or not sleep because of some motivation class I took and it ruined my sleep habits.
