Ida Shiplet died on Easter Sunday, the day before I returned home. She managed to beat bone cancer a number of times before it suddenly, after being in remission, came back with a vengeance, killing her in just over a week. I left home on Wednesday the 21st and headed to Reno to have my new novel, Consequences, reviewed by my friend and editor. My Aunt Eleanor Died Today
My aunt passed away at around 1:30 PM today. She was a fighter and was an exceptional woman having gotten polio at 4 months and living to be 86. She loved life and has moved on.
