Today I liberated myself from the eyes of the internet and sadly (but gladly) blocked the Pasquini Family from non registered users. Then 1 day later I unblocked it.
I did this because the web has a changed a lot since 2005 when the Pasquini Family Blog first started. Oddly I learned everything I know about blogging from blogging on this site. Yet this site would never be an income stream, and it was never meant to be. I tested some of my early theories here on content creation and viral marketing. Techniques that landed me a back-link from The Daily Kos (still my high point of all time). This garnered over 422 Facebook likes on a single post, and gave me a key insight into how creating content that I searched for, yet could not find an answer too, and then answering it well, with the right keywords, and hard working content could create views.
I understood views, but I did not understand how to convert (or that I could convert) content into cash.
Words are cheap, that is why publishers are having a hell of a time selling them. Once I realized it was not the words that were worth money but the usefulness they had in helping people fix a problem… boom… The rest just flowed.
As of now I need to do some work on my sites. I don’t know how to convert the Thesis skins over to different themes, and this is too bad. Thesis has done great as far as SEO is concerned, but my designs are old and need updating. I have some ideas, maybe that will be work for 2014. In the meantime it I will focus on content.
Glad to Be Back
I have not written here forever, because I was afraid. I was bothered by the fact that anyone on the internet with a Google search box could find me and read some of my deepest, most intimate thoughts. But now one day later I’m over it. Nobody really cares what I have to say unless it is about them. The selfish monkey gene or something like that.
I have also spread out my interests into separate streams that I can use for that purpose. One blog, is for “healthy, Wealthy and wise”! and the other is to drive a platform for social change through medicine. Now both on a global and local front.
This blog will be a place again to document the changing of lifes most precious and valuable asset: Time.
2013
2013 will be a time of limitless possibilities And I will chose to focus on this idea, the idea of “One Pointed Intention”. I got it from the Amazing book: The seven spiritual laws of success by my man Deepak Chopra.
“One-pointed intention means holding your attention to the intended outcome with such unbending purpose that you absolutely refuse to allow obstacles to consume and dissipate the focused quality of your attention.”
I have a couple “One Pointed Intentions”
- To create/live in a world of equality of health.. The right to adequate health care in a world where the means exist.
- To live life everyday with a focus on not wasting my time. As Seneca said: “Nothing, is ours, except time. We were entrusted by nature with the ownership of this single thing, so fleeting and slippery that anyone who will can oust us from possession.”
