I have become a fan of this website, and over the past few days have really began to feel like this bail out plan is quite a bit like the war in Iraq. in fact at 700 Billion it is over 100 billion more than we have spent on the war efforts. I am sure that this is just a way for the wealthy to maintain their wealth and feed their greed. Where is the health care bailout, where was the New Orleans Bail out, where is the true housing bailout (i.e helping all those people who are loosing or about to loose their homes). The true way to bailout Americans is to use this money to establish universal health care. By providing a plan that will decrease spending from 12-17k per employee for health care for employers down to about $1,500 per person we will in effect give business the tax breaks the republicans want, spur on economic growth, decrease if not stop the number one cause of bankruptcy in America and greatly reduce the true threat to Americans. Next we do not bail out these banks and allow them to recover from all these bad loans, why should we, lets instead give everybody who has credit a fixed interest rate of 4.8 percent, allow them to keep there homes, and support there families. According to the National Priorities project web site with the money “it would allow us to rebuild all of our nations 33,000 deteriorating schools and still have $664 billion to spend”. Hmmmmm or we can make sure wall street stays rich. How come we always have money for war and big rich company bailouts, but when it came to Katrina we needed “more action from the states”. This sums it up, actions speak so much louder than words, this won’t save our home, this bailout doesn’t make my day less risky, come on America let’s not less this happen again, so that in two years we will have dem’s and republicans sitting across the table discussing this bailout like the war.. Well he voted for it not me!!!!

You are so right. Glad we agree. Aunt Eleanor agrees too. She’s supported Obama from the beginning. Go Obama.
