Congratulations Mom Pasquini on making it bravely through your hip surgery. Still a bit of a road to travel but we are proud she is such a tough cookie. I enjoyed our time together lamenting her moaning roommate, but in life sometimes another’s pain helps us realize the blessing we have.
Today I am back in Santa Cruz soaking up the sun. It culminated in 30 minutes spent just sitting with Layla on a wooded area next to Taqueria Vallarata. We just sat and ate ice, it was fun just being present in the moment, how special these times will be someday when I am so very old and grey.

This is a great picture of all of you. I wish I was there for it.
Those special moments with our children are just that, special moments. That’s why I like to spend one on one time with you and Jennifer every time I come to visit.

Hi Stephen.
It was so nice to see you yesterday! I discovered your family blog and it’s a terrific idea! (Don’t know how much your mom will like her post-op hospital pic though!) I’ll be checking in and look forward to reading more about your family adventures.
Fondly, Mrs. Carlson/ former neighbor/teacher

Thanks MaryAnne! And you are right she wasn’t overtly excited about her post op photo, but I am sure you would agree anytime you go into the hospital and make it out again better than when you went in it is a time to be celebrated. I am just so happy you can say the same! It was great seeing you, you truly have a wonderful “family” at annunciation, My mom is blessed to have all your love and support.
